About Us
Our Story
B. Coleman Aviation opened in June 2013, and we provide premier aviation services in the Chicagoland region. Our services include Fixed Base Operations, Private Air Charter, Aircraft Management and Maintenance and Repair.
Our company is inspired by Elizabeth “Bessie” Coleman, a pioneer aviator and legendary pilot. Bessie Coleman was the first African American to earn a pilot’s license. Because flying schools in the United States denied her entry, she taught herself French and moved to France, to earn her international pilots license from France’s well-known “Caudron Brother’s School of Aviation”. Bessie came back to the United States and earning a living barnstorming and performing aerial tricks, stunt flying and parachuting. Like Amelia Earhart, Bessie Coleman remains an inspiration and pioneer to aviators around the world.
Our Mission
Our mission at B. Coleman is an unyielding commitment to aviation safety while providing efficiency, convenience, privacy and state-of-the-art aircraft at maximum value. We will work to always exceed expectations while keeping the highest of standards and a distinct quality of service ingrained in every aspect of our aviation services.
Inspired by the pioneer aviator and visionary, Bessie Coleman, we will perform with her determination and dedication to deliver our customers the gold-standard of service.
